Description
Mouri is a traditional village of about 140 population. Is is 22 km west of Rethymnon city and 38 km east from Chania city and only 2k from a wonderfull sandy beach. The village of Mouri is near the fresh water lake and settlement of Kournas.

It is set in the foothills of the White Mountains and views of the ocean can be seen. The village is traditional and quiet.

There are some traditional and fish taverns by the lake of Kournas. More restaurants, cafeterias, super markets, rent cars,night life, tourist shops can be reached in Georgioupolis and Kavros villages, in just 3.5 km distance. For bars, clubs, shopping and nightlife the city of Rethimnon and Chania is the ideal place.

Post office and fire dept is at Vrisses(10 km NW), telephone service and health center at Vamos(12 km NW).
