Description
Georgioupolis is a village and a popular tourist resort of about 900 population. Is is build in front of a wonderful sandy beach, 25 km west of Rethymnon city and 35 km east from Chania city.

Georgioupoli has a Port station, a police station, banks, post office, bookshop 2 large supermarkets, many smaller minimarkets, a bakery, pharmacy, a cafe/cocktail, several hotels with many services, a riding school, several car rentals, a cashpoint machine and other shops. Many shops sell local products which make interesting gifts or keepsakes.



Post office and fire dept is at Vrisses(6 km W), telephone service and health center at Vamos(8 km NW).
