Kastelos is a traditional village of about 350 population. It is located 9 km south from Rethymnon and the beach.

Kastelos is a traditional village with traditional cafes and a taverna. In a distance of 2 km is the village of Armenoi with more shops and frequent busses towards Rethymnon and south Crete.

The village has a very nice view towards the mountain and lots of trees.
